Columbus Behavioral Center for Children and Adolescents Columbus Behavioral Center for Children and Adolescents provides a safe and therapeutic environment for males and females ages eight to 18. Columbus has a total of 61 residential beds. Of these 61 beds, 46 of them are PRTF (Medicaid) beds and 15 are CCI beds for adolescent females. The CCI beds are all DCS or Probation placements. Columbus Behavioral Center also offers a 30-day diagnostic evaluation program. This program is utilized by the court system to help determine the level of care. Columbus Behavioral Center also offers the Horizon Program, which is a 12-step alcohol and drug program ran by a CADACIII. The center focuses on individualized treatment goals that address their histories of multiple acute-care hospitalizations, substance abuse problems or repeated behavioral health concerns. The center's trained professionals work with the patient, family and community partners to promote a therapeutic transition back into the home or, if necessary, an additional appropriate level of care.
