Columbus Behavioral Center Welcomes Two New EmployeesCOLUMBUS, Ind. – (Feb. 19, 2010) – Columbus Behavioral Center for Children and Adolescents, a Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (PSI) facility, recently added Freda Lawson, as nursing services manager, and Scott Stewart, as shift supervisor, to its staff. As nursing services manager, Lawson provides the nursing staff with the tools and information they need to maintain an evenly balanced therapeutic environment for residents. Specifically, she coordinates daily nursing practices, assists in supervising mental health technicians and oversees infection control. Stewart assists with resident supervision and oversees mental health technician training. He also ensures residents have a therapeutic environment conducive to encouragement and productive healing. “Both Freda and Scott bring a diverse and accomplished background to Columbus Behavioral Center,” said Kelly Ulreich, CEO of Columbus Behavioral Center. “Both will help us continue to provide a balance of therapy and educational activities in a safe, structured setting.” Lawson joins Columbus Behavioral Center with 32 years of nursing experience, which includes 15 years as a hospice nurse and clinical coordinator. She also served as a licensed practical nurse in an emergency department. Stewart brings with him exceptional supervisory skills. He has previously served as a juvenile and adult probation officer, as well as a director of group homes for George Junior Republic treatment center in Columbus.
